Ask A Fundraiser is an innovative online E-tool solution designed to support nonprofit organizations in developing their fundraising infrastructure and tools. It leverages cutting-edge technology to take organizations through the process of developing individualized fundraising plans using an interactive and user-friendly online platform. Our step-by-step approach supports organizations in the development of their comprehensive three-year strategic plan for fundraising, budget, case for support, gift pyramid, stewardship structure, policies and procedures manual, and an organizational pitch that will resonate with funders.

How does Ask A Fundraiser work?

Ask A Fundraiser works by utilizing a step-by-step approach for users to build their fundraising plans and collateral material. Users can access the product through a web browser or dedicated mobile application. The signature deliverables from this E-Tool are the production of an organization’s fundraising case for support and personalized narrative to use in the fundraising process (newsletters, grant applications, letters, annual reports, etc.). After signing-up for the E-Tool, users begin the program by selecting a case for support template that will house their final fundraising case for support. After selecting a design, they can begin the program by watching the tutorial videos and completing each section of the E-Tool. Content that is needed for the final case for support is pulled from the user’s worksheets throughout the program and auto-populated into the selected design.

To sign up for an Ask A Fundraiser account: 

  1. Create an account on https://askafundrasier.com. 
  2. Type in your email (your email address will be the username for your Ask A Fundraiser account). 
  3. Type your first and last names and unique passwords. 
  4. Click the box to agree to the Ask A Fundraiser terms. 
  5. Fill up your organization details (Location, Website, and Phone number) 
  6. Choose a plan option. 
  7. Congratulations! Now Invite your friends

Log-In Assistance

  1. Visit https://app.askafundraiser.com/sign_in
  2. Click "Forgot your password?" 
  3. Enter the email address associated with your account and click "Submit." 
  4. Check your inbox for an email from help@askafundraiser.com. If you don't see it, it may be in your spam folder. 
  5. Click the link provided in the email. 
  6. Type in the new password and click “Save”

Is my payment information secure?

When will I be billed for my subscription?

Your subscription billing cycle is based on the date you initially signed up. You will be billed on this same date each month for the duration of your subscription. This consistent billing cycle ensures a hassle-free experience, allowing you to enjoy uninterrupted access to our services without any surprises.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. Log in to your account and navigate to the "Subscription" or "Billing" section to find the cancellation option. Please note that cancellation might be subject to specific terms based on your subscription type.

Will I be notified before my subscription renews?

Absolutely! Prior to your subscription renewal, we will send you a helpful reminder email. This email will include all the pertinent information about the upcoming payment, giving you a heads-up about the renewal process.

What happens if my payment fails?

If a payment fails, we will make multiple attempts to process the payment. You will receive notifications about the failed payment, and we may request you to update your billing information or use an alternative payment method. 

Is there an auto-renewal feature for subscriptions?

Do you store my credit card information?

How do I access the different Worksheets on the website?

To access different worksheets, you must complete each of the worksheets in sequential order to unlock each of the worksheets. You can identify the worksheet you have completed by seeing the green check mark before the worksheet on the Table of Contents sidebar on the left side of the screen. Once you have completed a worksheet, that information will be saved for future reference, and you will be able to use the navigation menu located on the left sidebar to toggle back and forth between worksheets. Simply click on the page title you want to visit, and you will be directed to that particular worksheet.

How do I edit the content of a Page?

Editing content on any page is simple and convenient. Once you have the necessary editing privileges, just navigate to the page you wish to modify. You can change the text or any input you need to update. When you're satisfied with the changes, simply click on the "Next" button, and your modifications will be automatically saved and instantly updated on the page. It's a seamless process that ensures your work is always up-to-date and readily available to your audience. 

Do Pages have a search function?

In most cases, not yet. However, information within website pages can be found by toggling between completed items in the Table of Contents sidebar on the left side of the screen, making it possible for users to find specific information on the site. 

Customization My Case for Support

Will I be able to customize my Case for Support?

Yes, you have the flexibility to customize your final case for support with your organization's brand. While you must use one of our four cases for support templates, you can modify the colors and font of the text to align with your brand's identity. Additionally, you have the option to upload images, allowing you to personalize the overall aesthetic of the case. 
 
 Furthermore, it's important to note that all the content within the case for support will be directly sourced from the narrative you developed on each of the E-Tool pages. With these customization options, you can create a compelling and cohesive case for support that reflects your organization's unique identity and goals.

Can I add images or multimedia to my Case for Support?

Absolutely! You will be able to upload images from your organization or images that your organization owns to enhance your case for support. Currently, it is not possible to upload videos, audio, or other multimedia elements, but will be a feature we grow into in the future. Log in to your account and access the Finalize Case for Support editor. 

  1. Look for the "Add Image" button and click on it.
  2. Choose the image file from your computer or device.
  3. Save your changes.
  4. Preview your Case for Support to ensure it looks good.
  5. Generate your fundraising documents!

How do I delete information from my Case for Support?

Deleting information is a sensitive action and typically restricted to administrators. If you need to remove information, contact your organization’s authorized user.

Collaboration Tools in Ask A Fundraiser

How many users from my organization can use Ask A Fundraiser at one time?

The number of users you can have on the platform at a time varies on your subscription level. Despite the number of users, all users must have the same organizational e-mail to access the platform.

How do I collaborate with other users from my organization to complete the worksheets?

Click on the image button on the top right of your screen. This will allow you the ability to add users from your organization to join the process and contribute to the content within the worksheets. Users may be given the ability to either create/edit or just comment on the content within each of the worksheets. 

- If you want teammate users to be able to create or edit content, give them full access by pushing the full access button. 
- If you want teammate users to only be able to comment on the text, select the comment-only access by pushing the comment-only button
